The Journey of Building My Platform: The Good and The Real

Building a platform feels like watching a dream come alive. A dream that once lived only in imagination now taking shape step by step. For me, it is not just a website or a project. It is the reflection of years of passion, sweat, and belief in something bigger. It is Chand Fitness.
Chand Fitness is a digital fitness platform that gives people access to clear training video programmes and guides that they can follow from anywhere in the world. It was created after years of working one-to-one with clients who needed a simple way to stay consistent between sessions. The platform brings all of my workouts into one space so people can train with guidance, structure and support, even if they cannot see me in person.
It exists to help people build confidence, improve their strength and feel better in their bodies. Everything inside the platform comes from my own training style and the methods that shaped my journey.
I think I am right when I say that I am likely to be the first fitness coach in Mauritius building a platform of this kind. It’s a powerful and humbling feeling, a bold step, a large responsibility, and above all, it is an opportunity to share things my way. The way fitness shaped me, gave me confidence, made me mentally stronger, and strengthened me.
I am deeply grateful to my mentor Alyx Jordan for her full-hearted support and for believing in this vision as much as I do. Building this platform would not have been possible without her guidance and encouragement. She is the one creating this platform. I am also thankful to Damien Barclais who has been part of my fitness journey, teaching me, guiding me, and helping me grow in my professional life as my mentor.
The Good: Growth, Vision and Connection
Building this platform has opened doors I never imagined. It is a space where my story meets the world. A place where people can connect not only to workouts and plans but to energy, mindset and purpose.
What makes it special is that this journey changed my entire life. My vision is not only about fitness routines. It is about transformation, confidence and feeling good in your skin. Every page, every programme and every word carries a piece of me. My experiences, my lessons and my energy.
To see it come alive is exciting. Each day of creating it felt like an adventure, fuelled by enthusiasm, curiosity and that quiet voice saying that this is possible.
The Bad: The Real Side of Building Something Meaningful
Like every meaningful journey, it came with challenges. Building a platform means facing the unknown. Endless details, technical hurdles, nights without sleep, moments of doubt and the constant question of whether this will truly reflect who I am. There were times I asked myself if I was worthy.
When I got my menses I felt weak, moody, swollen in my lower belly and had a headache. During that phase it felt like the worst time to shoot or create videos.
There were moments of frustration when ideas did not flow or when progress felt slow. Moments of vulnerability when the dream felt too big, yet I kept faith in it. Every obstacle became part of the story. It taught me patience, balance and resilience. The same values I try to instill in my clients.
The Heart of Chand Fitness
This platform is not only about me. It is about us. It is about reaching out, connecting through fitness and inspiring others to discover their strength and confidence.
It is a mix of dream and discipline, creativity and reality. A reminder that what begins as a personal passion can grow into something that touches lives beyond borders.
Building Chand Fitness has been the most exciting and humbling chapter of my journey. As it grows, it carries my values and knowledge. I keep learning and sharing with others. Life is a school where learning never ends. Every day teaches a new lesson, sometimes through challenges and sometimes through victories.

She has now expanding her domain to include an online fitness business. In her free time, Chand enjoys peaceful moments with her dogs, self care and hiking in nature.
